People & society

At Getinge, we strive to make a positive and sustainable contribution to the communities we are active in. We build our corporate social work on high health, safety, discrimination and ethics standards.

Human Rights

Human rights are universal and every person around the world deserves to be treated with dignity and equality. As a signee of the UN Global Compact, Getinge supports the principles of human rights that derive from the Universal Declaration of Human Rights.

As a responsible company, we support and respect the protection of internationally proclaimed human rights, as well as making sure that we are not complicit in any human rights abuses.

Equality & diversity

At Getinge all employees – regardless of gender, race, religion and other irrelevant contextual factors – are given equal opportunity to develop and receive equal wages for equal work in due consideration of local conditions.

We aim to create a business with extensive overall expertise and a wide range of experience to create a dynamic organisation that can continue to advance the company in line with our strategic objectives. This is why diversity is one of the key elements in our Code of Conduct.

Health & safety

Employee health and safety is of utmost importance to us, and a safe and secure work environment is one of our top priorities.

In many of the countries where we operate, workplace health and safety is regulated by stringent national legislation. However, this is not valid for all of our markets as we are also active in countries with significantly weaker legislation. Nonetheless, we place the same demands on all operations in terms of health, safety, discrimination and ethics regardless of where in the world operations are conducted.

Our aim is that all of our employees worldwide shall have a safe and non-discriminatory work environment, and we conduct a continuous, long-term health and safety effort at all facilities.

Engagement with local society

We strive to make a positive and sustainable contribution to the communities where we are active. We encourage our employees to actively participate in social issues, and such efforts are primarily local projects linked to our operations.

We do not make any contributions to political parties and make no political donations.
