Nationality: German

Job Title: Manager Showroom Rastatt

Location: Rastatt, Germany

Employed at Getinge since:  2007

Can you describe yourself in three words?

Open, helpful, ambitious.

Why did you join Getinge?

I started to work at Maquet in Rastatt, Germany as an Industrial Clerk during 2007. This position was very exciting since I had the opportunity to gain insights into different departments and business functions. After finishing my apprenticeship I started to work in the Showroom in Rastatt and was recently promoted to manage the Showroom, a very exciting opportunity.

Did you know anything about the MedTech industry before you started here?

No, not really. But I have learnt so much over the last 10 years and today I am very aware of the latest innovations in the MedTech industry.

What is the most exciting part of your job?

The most exciting part of my job is the large variety of work tasks that I have in the Showroom. I love seeing the results and feedback we receive when we have finished a project and people are excited to see our products in a realistic environment.

In 2016 we had around 24.000 visitors to the Showroom in Rastatt. Much of my daily work is about coordinating visits and to ensure that all of the exhibit areas are up to date.

How do you apply the Getinge core values in your day to day work - Collaboration, Openness, Excellence, Ownership or Passion?

Collaboration is a very important in my role. In the Showroom it is important that we display the latest products and innovations and therefore we need to stay in close collaboration with the Sales Regions and the Business Areas to stay updated.

How would you describe your Passion for life?

One of my biggest passions right now is to travel around the world - there is nothing better.
