Getinge continues to support EVC. EVC offers live workshops, including online hands-on training sessions. Participants will participate from home or in their local hospital. In all workshops, a limited number of participants will be digitally present in the studio and able to communicate with teachers and fellow delegates. All workshops have E-learning modules, explaining the content and preparation needed for the workshops. In some cases, specific instruments will be used, such as surgical models, computer programs, devices or simulators, depending on the nature of the workshop. In specific workshops, delegates will receive tools and/or devices at home or their local hospital. Participants will be instructed on how to set-up their working space.
Getinge@EVC:
Participants can sign up for specific Getinge courses. Each course has a limited number of participants. Once the sessions are fully booked, all registered participants can still watch the session online, without active participation.

Debranching of supra-aortic arteries

Goal: to learn the surgical techniques of debranching the brachiocephalic trunk, left carotid and left subclavian arteries.
In aortic arch and descending thoracic aortic diseases, endovascular therapy is increasingly becoming a valid less invasive strategy. In order to facilitate endovascular implantation, debranching of the supra aortic arteries might be necessary. This interactive workshops addresses all technical issues and strategies to perform these procedures.
Open AAA repair hands on workshop

Goal: To learn a safe technique to implant an infrarenal bifurcated graft to replace a AAA
In this workshop, in teams of two, participants will be instructed live, from the broadcasting studio in Maastricht, by experienced vascular surgeons. An abdominal model and an AAA inlay of the Vascular International School will be used, both by the tutors as well as by the participants. These models will be located in 7 dedicated European hubs (Vienna, Ludwigsburg, Bern, Bizkaia, Amsterdam, Rotterdam and Groningen). If seats are fully booked, participants can still join the workshop.
Arteriovenous graft placement - Flixene access graft

- Location: Studio 8 (18 studio seats) and unlimited online participants

Goal: to perform a vascular anastomosis and to learn how to use the Flixene AV-access graft in vascular access surgery.
Due to restrictions in shipping of training material, studio seats for this workshop are available for European delegates only.
