Supports external communication
An RS232 port enables external communication with other equipment. An optional alarm output connection allows connection to a central alarm system.

The intuitive Servo user interface
The ergonomic Servo user interface, with its large colour screen and clear graphics, is designed for clinicians by clinicians and is regarded as intuitive by users. Ventilator settings can be made either via the touch screen, the main rotary dial, or a combination of both. A streamlined menu system and direct access knobs also ensure fast changes of vital settings when needed. Status information for oxygen cell, expiratory cassette and battery capacity is shown on the display to facilitate control.
Easy to track patient progress
Servo-s® displays fast-response, high-resolution waveforms that indicate inspiratory and expiratory pressures, flows and volumes, with diagnostic quality. Volume/Pressure and Flow/Volume loops make it easy to follow patient progress, make clinical evaluations and tailor treatment to individual needs. Servo-s also offers accurate time and detail recording for up to 24 hours after an event through trend alternatives.

The ergonomically designed Servo-s Mobile Cart is user-friendly and gives maximum stability. Two of the wheels can be locked for added safety. Accessories such as the Aerogen Nebulizer, MR850 Humidifier and the Servo Support-Arm can be easily attached to the side or front of the cart column. The Servo-s Shelf Base allows the unit to be secured on flat surfaces close to the bed.
Continuous treatment even on the move
The Servo-s ensures continuous treatment quality during transport within the hospital, with no loss of treatment values. Gas bottles can be secured directly on the back of the cart with an optional accessory. Built-in batteries provide a 60-minute power supply for shorter transport. An external 12V battery can also be connected.
Servo-s ventilation modes
Servo-s offers ventilation capabilities unique to Servo ventilators, in four different modes for a variety of treatment needs: Volume Control (VC), Pressure Control (PC), Pressure Support (PS) / Continuous Positive Airway Pressure (CPAP), and Synchronized Intermittent Mandatory Ventilation (SIMV). An apnea back-up is available in support modes.
Non-Invasive Ventilation (NIV)
The easy-to-use NIV option for infants and adults provide responsive and comfortable leakage compensation made possible by measuring and adjusting during the same breath, thus maintaining the set pressure to the patient. A waiting position from standby to start ventilation facilitate the work for the staff and increases patient comfort. The monitoring capabilities of the Servo-s may enhance patient surveillance and help to assist with the smooth liberation from the ventilator.
Servo Feedback Control System
The Servo Feedback Control System in the Servo-s® is extremely sensitive to patient needs in terms of pressure and flow changes. Even the smallest deviations from set values are sensed, fed back to the Servo-controlled valves, and regulated - several hundred times a second. The system ensures the patient receives precisely the chosen level of ventilation.
Patient interaction and reduced work of breathing
Servo technology makes it possible to minimize work of breathing both at the beginning and at the end of the breath, which maximizes patient comfort and results in better interaction.
The ultra-fast inspiratory flow controller in the Servo-s responds immediately to changes in patient demand, ensuring precise gas delivery to the patient. Its sensitive flow trigger emphasizes sensing frequency and makes it possible to tailor the ventilator response in the post-triggering phase. The controlling algorithm for the expiratory valve, the Time Constant Valve Controller, ensures low expiratory resistance.
