Safe and reliable aseptic filling processes
Barriers are increasingly being used in connection with aseptic filling, both to prevent product contamination and to protect operators. Modern filling lines increasingly incorporate full-barrier isolators or restricted-access barrier systems (RABS) around the filling equipment, in order to reduce the risk of product contamination and, in the case of potent drug compounds, to protect operators.
Getinge offers both barrier isolators and barrier transfer technologies. Using isolator and barrier technologies the need for sterile conditions is reduced to the smallest possible working volume and with the DPTE system, toxic material or aseptic components can be transferred without breaking containment or compromising sterility. Getinge’s cGMP sterilizers ensure sterility of components in contact with the end-product during aseptic filling processes.
