Getinge are proud to sponsor the “Sepsis, Or Is It?” Seminar organised by the ACCCN TAS State Committee.
The full-day education event will explore sepsis recognition, diagnostic uncertainty, and what to do when patients deteriorate but the clinical picture does not fit.
This event is designed for critical care and acute care nurses seeking to strengthen confidence, decision-making, and leadership when managing complex patients where sepsis is suspected, but not always the answer.
Using a case-based and interactive approach, the program will focus on:
• early assessment
• clinical reasoning beyond screening tools
• nursing leadership in escalation
Topics include sepsis mimics, the deteriorating patient, medical imaging in sepsis, emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence, advanced therapies, and the longer-term impacts of sepsis on recovery and survivorship.
