The duties of the Executive team
It is the responsibility of the President & CEO to implement and ensure that the strategies, business plans and operational targets agreed by the Board of Directors are carried out and that effective internal governance and control is maintained. The President & CEO is also responsible for presenting reports at the Board meetings and for continuously keeping the Board and its Chairman up to date on Getinge’s financial position, development, risks and opportunities. The role, responsibilities and authorizations of the President & CEO are described in more detail in the instructions for the CEO and for financial reporting.
Getinge’s President & CEO is supported by the Getinge Executive Team in conducting Getinge’s operations. The Getinge Executive Team consists of the heads and the group wide support functions.
The Getinge Executive Team meets at least six times a year to establish and follow up on strategic plans, business plans and performance, major projects, issues or requests to be addressed by the Board of Directors for decision, risks and coordination of other issues of strategic nature or group-wide importance, including sustainability and quality & regulatory matters.
Other preparatory forums at the Getinge Executive Team level provide reports at meetings of the Getinge Executive Team.
The President & CEO delegates detailed roles and areas of responsibility to each member of the Getinge Executive Team, who then structures their own management teams and ensures that strategically important matters, responsible leadership, product quality and sustainability are integrated as a natural part of operations.
