Getinge takes AI-powered surgical planning further with Torin Plan Optimizer

Getinge today announced the launch of Torin Plan Optimizer, an AI-powered decision support solution for surgical planning. Going beyond procedure-duration prediction, it optimizes the plan against a broader set of dependencies across operating rooms (ORs), surgeon and surgical team availability, and post-operative capacity. By providing earlier visibility into potential constraints, the solution helps hospitals make better use of existing surgical capacity, reduce scheduling disruptions, and keep surgical care on track.

Getinge and Beredskapslyftet strengthen life-saving care in Ukraine through targeted ECMO support

To help sustain life‑saving treatment for critically ill children, Getinge donates Extracorporeal Membrane Oxygenation (ECMO) consumables to the National Specialized Children’s Hospital Okhmatdyt in Kyiv, in collaboration with the Swedish non‑profit organization Beredskapslyftet. The donation builds on Getinge’s previous support to Ukraine, including earlier donations of ECMO equipment, anesthesia machines and ventilators, to increase the countries resilience against the challenges of war.

Getinge supports neonatal critical care training in India

A Neonatal Critical Care Nursing Training Initiative has been launched in India to address the growing need for skilled neonatal nurses and improve outcomes for newborns. The program, which uses a blended online–offline model to train 1,500 nurses, is supported by global medtech company Getinge.

Getinge receives refund of tariffs paid under IEEPA

Getinge today announces that, during the second quarter of 2026, the company received a tariff refund of approximately USD 36 M, corresponding to the majority of the tariffs paid under the International Emergency Economic Powers Act (IEEPA). In total, the tariffs previously paid by Getinge under IEEPA amount to approximately USD 38 M.
