Getinge South East Asia awarded 2022 Swedish Company of the Year by Swedish Chamber of Commerce in Singapore

Getinge South East Asia is honoured to receive the 2022 Swedish Company of the Year award from the Swedish Chamber of Commerce in Singapore.

Announcing the award in a ceremony, Lisa Ferraton, General Manager of the Swedish Chamber of Commerce, Singapore, credited Getinge with ramping up manufacturing and delivering life-saving medical equipment at a time when hospitals in Singapore and the region were at risk of being overwhelmed by the coronavirus pandemic. She also noted that the company ‘has a focused strategy in place to invest in their business both in Singapore and in South East Asia’ and that ‘this commitment is for the long term, both to save lives and to continue to invest in Singapore and the region’.

In accepting the award, Teodor Johansson, Managing Director, Getinge South East Asia, attributed the award to trust from customers, and respect for humanitarian needs during the pandemic years.  The company had to ramp up production capacity rapidly and ensure timely delivery to hospitals to save the increasing number of infected patients. The decision to prioritize allocation to countries in need was difficult, but was ultimately respected by customers. Teodor also linked this achievement with Getinge’s Servo ventilator, highly recognized and trusted in the ICU, with a 50 year legacy.

Acknowledging this award, Philippe Rocher, President, Getinge South Asia Pacific commended the many employees in the company who are constantly working towards a common goal of helping healthcare professionals focus on caring for patients and saving lives.
