Getinge OR

8,760 hours on call
398 procedures

Committed to giving the best care

The dedication of surgical teams often means they work long, irregular and overnight hours. In fact, the American Board of Surgery estimates that a surgeon will perform an average 398 procedures per year – more than one for every day. Depending on emergency scenarios, staff availability and unique clinical situations, highly specialized surgeons are often on-call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Surveys of surgeons have shown that between 16% and 36% had high levels of traumatic stress symptoms, with 12% indicating possible post-traumatic stress disorder.[1],[2]

In the critical situations that surgeons face every day, nothing is more important than the knowledge and experience of their team. At Getinge we’ve been designing and innovating equipment in the OR for over a century, working with clinicians around the world to understand their changing needs. This shared knowledge is the basis of all our Operating Rooms solutions, designed to make surgical workplaces and procedures as comfortable, safe and effective as possible – both for your team and your patients.

More solutions. More potential. One provider.

In the Operating Room, where patients are often at their most vulnerable, working together collaboratively and efficiently can make all the difference. To help make this happen, our Operating Rooms portfolio is designed to be as comprehensive as possible, with industry-leading solutions including OR tables, LED lighting, ceiling supply units, multimedia, workflow management and advanced clinical therapies.

By combining all our solutions into one holistic offering, we can help you create world-class facilities that are uniquely tailored to your hospital’s needs. Our architectural planning experts can help ensure unique  integration between Operating Rooms, Intensive Care, and Sterile Reprocessing.
