Operator Training

Learn the day to day operation of the Lancer Fibrocleaner and Getinge ED-Flow.

Overview

Operator training is available for our customers who use Getinge and Lancer Endoscope Reprocessors free of charge at our training centre. The courses are suitable for both experienced and newly appointed staff to meet requirements of audit bodies for evidence of up-to-date training.

Lancer Fibro-Cleaner AER/EWD

 
Course Aim

To achieve a competent working knowledge of the day to day operation of the Lancer Fibro-Cleaner Automated Endoscope Reprocessor, together with an understanding of the appropriate theory/guidelines relating to endoscope decontamination.

Objectives of the course
  • Be aware of guideline documents and responsibility structure for endoscope decontamination
  • List and discuss methods of manual cleaning and demonstrate an understanding of the internal structure and function of gastrointestinal endoscope
  • Discuss the theory of the CVL (Channel Verification Library), start an auto-apprenticeship cycle and explain why and when it needs to be done
  • Initiate a normal wash cycle and list stages of the cycle
  • Demonstrate an understanding of safe chemical handling when changing containers
  • Initiate self-disinfect cycle and demonstrate an understanding of why it is done
  • Detect errors using the information given on the ticket (print-out)
  • Discuss tracing and tracking and list information required to be kept
  • Identify the importance of carrying out daily checks, and reporting
  • Obtain final rinse water sample successfully and discuss implications
  • Discuss principals of Independent monitoring

Getinge ED-Flow

 
Course Aim

To achieve a competent working knowledge the day to day operation of Getinge ED-Flow Automated Endoscope Reprocessor, together with an understanding of the related theory/guidelines for endoscope decontamination.

Objectives of the course
  • Be aware of guideline documents for endoscope decontamination
  • Discuss methods of manual cleaning and demonstrate an understanding of the internal structure and function of a gastrointestinal endoscope

  • Discuss the theory of the Channel Patency CVL (Channel Verification Library), be able to program an endoscope tag and explain why and when it needs to be done

  • Demonstrate an understanding of the RFID card system and it appropriate use and be able to program a card (if applicable)

  • Initiate a normal wash cycle and list stages of the cycle

  • Demonstrate a clear understanding of safe chemical handling when changing containers

  • Initiate self-disinfect cycle and demonstrate an understanding of why it is done

  • Detect errors using the information given on the ticket (print-out) and by the machine

  • Discuss the tracing and tracking information required to be kept
